Wild Adventures in Beautiful BC

Toby Creek Adventures | Kootenay Rockies Tourism | Mitch Winton
The BC Rockies are full of wild adventures. Where will you get outside to play?
Get Wet and Wild
It’s time to get acquainted with the wild waters! Get splashy with rapids on the mighty Kicking Horse River. With Class 1-4 rapids, this river starts slow enough for you to learn the ropes before you’re hit with continuous Class 3 and 4 rapids to finish the day. For a calmer experience, the Kootenay River offers Class 2 and 3 rapids with the perfect mix of calm paddling and big splashes. For a shorter trip, Toby Creek River packs a punch, with Class 1-3 rapids with lots of twists and turns. Explore these rivers with Kootenay River Runners for a top-notch experience.
Rev It Up
The BC Rockies have plenty of trails for OHV fun with ATVs or side-by-sides. Toby Creek Adventures offers guided tours on exclusive terrain with privately owned alpine cabin and a stunning waterfall. Their experience and their top-notch gear means you’ll have an adventure that you’ll never forget!
Walk with Wildlife
Giving wildlife their space is important for their long-term wellbeing. There are opportunities to get up close and personal with some wild residents in the BC Rockies. Northern Lights Wolf Centre allows you to see and learn about wolves first-hand. Take their photography tour for a chance to walk with the wolves and get those epic photographs. Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch has regular tours throughout the summer. Learn about buffalo and see these impressive animals on the landscape. At Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, visit Boo at the grizzly bear refuge and learn about grizzlies in the Rockies. This is as close as you’ll ever get to a grizzly safely, so it’s worth the visit!
