“We are tremendously excited,” says Andrew Curran, CEO of Lindt Canada. “Swiss chocolate is born in the mountains, so it’s where we belong. Banff is such an iconic town with so many millions of visitors and such a great local community. To be a part of that is just super exciting.”

But the pièce de resistance is the fresh chocolate bar. “It’s for the real chocoholics,” says Curran. There are chocolate milkshakes for hot days, extra-indulgent hot chocolate or Mocha coffee options for cold days, and great treats for any time of year. “But the best of all is the ice cream. The crema gelata is the ultimate chocoholics’ ice cream. And once you’ve had that, no other ice cream will do.”

And that’s no lie. The ice cream is creamy, chocolaty, and simply a delightful way to indulge in a beautiful chocolate creation. Have it on a hot day or have it on a cold day because it’s just that good. It’ll be one of the finer points of any vacation to Banff.

“We always say chocolate is enjoyed best in the mountains,” says Curran. “It gives you energy it gives you the moments of indulgence, and it’s a memory that you can take home with you. To have a store here in the mountains in Canada feels like a really important part of our journey.”
