What a wild weekend! The fashion, the excitement, and the scenery has everyone talking about skijoring in Banff this winter! But now that the event is passed, what do you do? Here are some of our favourite ways to enjoy Banff this winter.

  1. Go for a Sleigh Ride

Keep with the western horse theme and go for a sleigh ride with Banff Trail Riders. Enjoy the horses as you glide over the snow surrounded by stunning mountain views. Go during the day and enjoy the sights or go at night for a spellbinding journey under the stars. Private cutters offer an intimate experience for two if you really want to enjoy the romance.

  1. Ski or Tube Down the Mountain

If you’re in the mountains, you should check out the skiing! Mt Norquay turns 100 this year! It’s the perfect time to see why this ski hill has stood the test of time. Try skiing, tubing, or the popular night tubing and night skiing at the hill. It’s a party under the stars and you’re invited! If you’re looking to get a little farther out of town take the shuttle to Banff Sunshine Village or Lake Louise Ski Resort.

  1. Take a Tour

There is so much to see and do in Banff! Take a wildlife tour for the best opportunity to see wild animals in their natural habitat. Learn about the wild residents of the mountain ecosystem from experienced guides who love this area. Walk through the steep canyon walls of Johnston Canyon and discover what makes the Canadian Rockies so unique. Check out the snow sculptures throughout downtown Banff, see the stunning Ice Magic sculptures in Lake Louise, have fun at the Play Zone, Bear Street HUB, and SnowNights.
