Winter is here, and it’s time to ski! In Banff National Park, there are three great ski resorts that offer a variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and boarders. New to it all? These resorts also offer lessons to up your game or to teach you new skills if you’re ready to take it up a notch. We can’t wait to see you at the hill!

100 Years of Norquay

Mt Norquay has a big birthday in 2026: the “hometown hill” is turning 100! We wrote a whole story about it! They’re celebrating by improving experiences and pushing to become leaders in sustainable tourism and accessible adventure. Come visit the hill in this historic year and enjoy wicked runs with stellar views and mountain sunsets. When it’s all done, stay for night skiing and tubing on select evenings this winter!

Big News at Lake Louise

Lake Louise Ski Resort has some big news coming this season: 200 new acres of news! The first phase of Richardson’s Ridge is set to open this spring, just in time for the end of the season. The plan is to open five new beginner and intermediate runs. They feature cruisy glades with spectacular views. It’s something the whole family can enjoy! There are plans to continue development in this area.

Stay at Sunshine

Come for the snow, stay for the night. Stay at Sunshine Mountain Lodge, Banff’s only ski-in, ski-out hotel at Banff Sunshine Village. This boutique hotel is perfect for your ski vacation. Sleep in peace surrounded by the stunning mountains, and wake up to fresh snow and first tracks. No need for a shuttle when you’re already at the mountain!

Don’t Drive

Looking to ski at one or all of Banff’s hills this winter? Ditch the vehicle and enjoy free shuttle service from Banff hotels to Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Ski Resort, or Mt Norquay with SkiBig3. Sit back, relax, and leave the driving to the pros. The best part? You can enjoy a bevvy (or two!) après ski and reflect on your awesome day. After all, you’re not driving anywhere!
