Go for a lane swim or enjoy the public pool with water slide. Get fit with a variety of weight rooms, cardio rooms, studio space, and regular classes. Or just grab a coffee from the on-site café and enjoy the bright community space.
Read a Book
Since you’re at Elevation Place, visit the Canmore Public Library. Not only does the library have fantastic services, but their lounge offers mountain views that are incredible. Get Artsy
If the weather isn’t to your liking outside, then take in some art inside. The Canmore Art Guild Gallery features local artists and presents both amateur and professional exhibits as a way to bring art into the community. At artsPlace Canmore, see art exhibits at The Hub Gallery or check out a special event. With music, theatre, film, open-mic nights, and so much more, there’s bound to be something that catches your interest. What’s more, they offer workshops and classes, so you can unleash your artistic side and learn some new skills along the way.

Canmore has a great foodie scene and while a rainy day might make patios a little less appealing, there are still many great places to eat inside with flavours that will keep you satisfied, no matter the weather. After finding success in nearby Dead Man’s Flats, One98Eight is bringing unique flavours and delicious food to Canmore. Stop by Bridgette Bar for some great happy hour specials that will leave your wallet and your tastebuds ready for more. If you don’t like the weather in the mountains, wait five minutes! The mountains are known to have variable and unpredictable weather. It can rain, snow, and be hot and sunny at any time of year, and often all these things happen in the same day. If you’re dead-set on your planned hike, or you still want to get outside no matter the weather, get some good quality rain gear and hit the trail. Stop by stores like Strides, Sports Experts, or Valhalla Pure Outfitters to get geared up.
